We are in the middle of an incredible story. The scriptures unfold for us a story of redemption, with the gospel at the center. So, the central message of the Bible is the gospel, the good news concerning the perfect life, sacrificial death, burial, and glorious resurrection of Jesus. Jesus, the Son of God, came as the ultimate prophet, priest, and king. He did for us what we could not do for ourselves in order to bring us back to God by grace through faith. Therefore, Jesus is the subject of all scripture.
We believe the gospel, and we are shaped by the gospel. We boast in Jesus, not religious performance. When we notice the gap between our sinfulness and God's holiness, we know that only Jesus can fill the gap. The gospel is the work of Jesus for us and the means of Jesus work in us. Like Jesus, we call everyone to repent and believe the gospel.

We hold to essential theological Christian beliefs, rooted in Scriptures, and held by generations who came before us. Our statement of faith summarizes essential Christian beliefs, shows unity in Christ, and guards the church from error.
At the same time we affirm "In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty; in all things love.” It is our aim to remain true to our essential theological beliefs which are foundational and close-handed. However, we will not get caught up in arguments over opened-handed issues that tend to create unnecessary division.
